On my v5 it says maximum towable mass braked 750kg.
So if I buy a caravan at 750kg can I put any weigh inside eg clothes food etc etc.

Or would these have to be loaded into the tow car .

Confused I sure am .

Also do caravans have to have an Mot. Never had a caravan before.

if the caravan has a weight of 750kg unloaded then you would not be able to put anything in it if your max tow limit is 750kg.no mot for caravans.

Ok so if the caravan is 750kg can I still load the car with food and clothes and awning

the problem you have is the weight of the caravan may not even include the gas bottle. so you would have to load everything in the car.

the other problem is the caravan may say its 750kg unladen but it could very well be heavier.have you thought about a folding camper?

Any chance of getting a better suited tow car? 750kg is very low so guessing it's a small petrol powered car, not ideal

You have at least 2 alternatives. Freedom or Eriba Puck. Do some googling for info on those. Several Freedoms on ebay for reasonable prices here. Eriba Puck will cost more. The car will tow either of those no problem.

Change your car would be your best way forward because your current vehicle isn't really up to the job having such a low towing limit
