a friend has a corsa diesel,12 plate and fancies getting a small caravan, i have checked weights and plate says 1050kgs.for towing. does anyone to a small 2 berth caravan with a corsa.

no, but our first caravan was towed by a woman with one, she used to put the car in the awning to help with the sun, we had a little adria

some of the bailey rangers 4 berths are around that weight, and other makes of cause.

its a 1.3 cdti and log book max tow is 1000kgs. its not my idea of a good tow car but its all she can afford if buying a caravan as well.

no I wouldn't either fancy doing it but the lady that had our van went down to Portugal for a few years each summer, I guess if you are on your own and travelling light i.e. not up to the max it would be ok

Hi Steve
I think your friend will have to look at lightweight caravans like Eriba Puck or Freedom or Fleurette Tamaris to tow with that car.
Max nose weight for the towbar is only around 50-55kg.
This may be hard to match up, but i hope she finds something to suite her needs.------------- Cheers

Hi when we first got our caravan which is and old ace marauder around 750kg i towed it with my 05 plate
1.3 cdti corsa and found it towed very well but did not go above 55mph. ------------- She may be old, she may be rough around the edges but she is our home from home and we love it.

Had a 06 plate for a while, nice car but definitely not built for towing,
The 2012 model has very low torque rating, not much higher than the 1.4 petrol. They have been squeezing every mpg they can out of them....
They certainly don't drive the same as the previous mk
