Hi, we have a standard single electrics trailer and we are looking at changing our car. The car we are looking at has standard double electric towbar. Is there an adapter we can get to hitch our trailer up to it? many thanks.

If you mean it has twin sockets then just plug your trailer into the black socket & forget the grey socket. No adaptor required.

If you mean it has newer type single 13pin socket then you can get a 7pin plug to 13pin socket adaptor from Halfords or any caravan shop.

The black socket is just for the trailer lights (which you will use) and the grey socket is an independent circuit to charge a leisure battery and running the fridge by 12 volt power.
Hope this explains a bit more in details so you understand what the two electrical sockets are for.
