Hi all, pick up my amara in two weeks (cant wait) the dealer done a tow check but he did not seem to know what was what lol. I have a 2012 vw passat estate tdi 2.0. Will this be sound to tow single axle mtplm 1455.... ? Cheers
We towed our Lunar Lexon (1450 max) with a Passat saloon, 2.0 litre tdi. It was a 56 plate, 170 bhp I think. V5 said the towing capacity was 1800 but as far as I remember the VIN plate said 2190 gross car weight and 3750 (I think) gross train weight. To be honest, I doubt the caravan was ever loaded to the max, however, it towed really well, and the fuel economy was excellent, we used to get 42 mpg towing.
