Can anyone suggest a tow car on a budget of 1000? I don't want to spend a lot as my gf has a small car and myself a work van. But need a 7 seater for when I have the kids over (3 that don't live with me) so we can all fit it.
I need something that will pull a 4 berth but be under the 3500 limit. I've heard zafiras have a low towing capacity ?
I have a kia carens. admittedly its only a yr old so outside your price band but may be worth looking at older models. mine is a 1.7 diesel and easily pulls my 4 berth lunar 1310kg. older models have a 2l diesel variant i think.
Do you actually have more than 5 people to carry? You + GF + 3 kids = 5.
I know that many modern cars make it difficult to fit three across due to the outboard seats being full sized and the centre being a silly little lump, but there are 5-seater cars out there that seat five comfortably.
If that is your situation, try a Focus C-MAX out. Generally better than a Zafira, and doesn't eat into the train weight with extra seats.

Presume you only have a B license as you have quoted 3500.What is the MTPL of your caravan as taking that weight away from 3500 will give you the max gross weight of car you can buy.
hi i dont know where you live but i will possibly be selling my 02 galaxy 2.3 petrol i'll be looking for £600 but not till middle of next month 75000 genuine miles .i have owned it from 6 months old and i pull a bailey pagent provence with ease but i have to find a replacement first as i still use it.
