It is ironic that I am asking about a Kia when my post from 5 years ago complaining about Kia Warranty is on the same page.
Anyway, I have my eye on a 14 reg KX 2 Sorreento sat nav, 10000 miles and it has a tow bar, it is at my locak Kia Dealers.
It doesn't have self levelling suspension, just wondering whether it makes a huge difference. my caravan is 1500kg MTPLM.
That would be the facelift version, all but the KX1 had SLS. In my opinion it is essential, search the Kia owners club website, the pre 2013 model only had SLS on the KX3 and there were many towing issues reported. Hence the 2013-15 model has revised suspension and SLS. That said there are a lot of caravanners towing successfully with these. I have just re-read your post and see its a KX2 this would have SLS unless it has been removed. I had a KX2 of this model and was very pleased with it so now have a 2017 KX4.
Thanks for that, i have just looked at the description on the Company website and it says it does have self levelling suspension. The local dealership ad did not include it.
How do rear seat passengers find the ride, I have just read a review mentioning the Sorento's soft suspension and a "rocking ride" in the back.
A friend has an older Discovery , my wife and daughter always get travel sick in the Disco rear seats

We had a Kx2 for 4 years without sls,it towed very well.The ride is good, on the firm side certainly not rocking!
We now have a Santa Fe,because we got a better deal than against another Kia.That has Sls and does tow well!

I have had Sorrento with SLS and now Santa fe without SLS. Towing the same caravan 1500 kg and not a scrap of difference between them. All SLS does is stop the back end dropping and keeping it level,if you have a heavy noseweight.
