Anyone have knowledge of the new Vivaro's with the 1.6 twin turbo diesel engines...?
As they seem to have a good write up / reviews, I'm toying with getting one to then half convert - have the extra seats behind the fronts, still have a decent sized boot, and have the larger towing capacity without needing a 4x4 type vehicle to do all that...

Wait for the proper road tests like the 1L Turbo Focus engines.
They raved about the amount of power and torque from such a small engine, but then when the test cars were loaded with passengers and luggage it changed to impressive power and torque but needed lots of gear changes on the hills and to maintain speed on motorways.
With the soft floaty suspension of a Shogun a Vivaro maybe a shock literally. Hard rear suspension more suited to carrying loads than comfort and towing without crashes and bangs from the rear.
Hook on the caravan, and take it around some roads with decent hills on them. A1 not far from us has a few hills that reminds you (not really in a bad way), you've got a van on the back....
