The Vitara range are fairly light, the Grand Vitara only weighs around 1250 kg. How heavy is your caravan?

The 1600 is quite gutless, the 2L V6 is better. Depends what weight your looking at towing.

Yes i know theyre light: but so is my van at 750kg's unlade, maybe 900kg fully laden. & i know theyre not the quickist car in the world. But neither was my 1968 cortina 1600 or my 1989 Maestro 1300 but they both towed very well.
So again has anyone towed with one of these.
Ive been towing caravans over 40 yrs,
