Hi there we are just about to purchase a 2009 sterling europa. As we have a dacia and a small chevvy spark we are having to upgrade but we dont want to be paying over the odds for a huge car that will mainly be used for touring and my oh going to work which is about a 7mile journey away.
We seem to be getting conflicting info and would love to hear from any owners of this van or similar. We are a family of 5 and want something economical but not expensive to run or repair. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Thank you. You are right so many conflicting bits of advice on various sites it difficult to sift through them all.
The oh has had his eye on a vw tiguan for a while looks like he may be getting his way. Thanks for all the input.
Can I just check I have this right. If I want to drive the caravan to give hubby a break. I passed after him so can only drive up to 3500kg combined. If the van is 1500mplm and the car we go for is 1800kg kerb weight such as the kia sorento or hyundai santa fe would this be an ok outfit? Sorry for all the questions we just want to make sure we are within the legal limit.
Actually you could drive a heavier combination. Apply for a provisional licence in that category, and as your OH has a full licence you can then alternate driving with him.
