Does anyone use a Merc E class e220 blue tec se as a towing vehicle.
I referred to the VIN plate for info today regarding towing weights but there is no weight given for gross train weight otherwise known as gross combination weight.
I have only just purchased the car and am extremely worried I have purchased a car I am unable to tow with.
I looked on Parkers earlier today and felt reassured as their website gave all the info I needed as to weights etc but after looking on government website it states that if the gross vehicle weight/ gross combination weight is not stated on the VIN/Chassi plate then the vehicle should not be used to tow.

Is it worth contacting the dealer to see if the V5 is still in the office? Otherwise you could try contacting MB to see what details they have for the car. The lack of weights on the plate doesn't sound good but it's worth checking every possible avenue, the car might even have the wrong plate on it.
