Good morning all,

We have just returned from our first camping trip of the season with our new tent. I really good do with extra room and thinking about getting a trailer. Do you need any add-on licence categories to pull a small trailer ?

No add on licence required but you need to tell your insurance if you have a towbar fitted. Some insurance companies class a towbar as a modification and others don't but it's worth telling them anyway just to cover yourself in the event of a claim.

Two things,, buy the biggest trailer you can afford because what ever you buy will very soon not be big enough!

Second when I told my insurance about my towbar the premium when down and few quid.
