Anybody here towing with a mazda6 tourer? We’ve bought one and now need to sort a tow bar. We’ll definitely go removable type. We had a genuine VW Westfalia bar on our previous Sharan for 11years and would have one again. But we’re also considering the Witter option as it’s nearly £100 cheaper. But not sure it’s totally invisible with the ball removed??

Brink also do removable towbars, I have one on my CX5 and it is invisible when not in use. I assume they do one for the 6 tourer

From what info I can find, the Brink option doesn’t fit my model. Not sure why though. The Witter has a warning of not for petrol on some sites, but Witter themselves assure me it does now fit.

Witter bar now out of stock!! Can’t get a definate answer on the Brink. They say not suitable on adblue models which ours isnt being petrol anyway. But PFJones site says not suitable. Brink have no contact details at all. They direct you to their ‘fitting partners’, of which there are none anywhere near me. I cant even find one to call in the south east. I’m guessing the websites got issues. So its looking like I’ve only got the Westfalia at £100 more!!

Have a look at the TowTrust website. Excellent tow bars and made in England.

Tow-Trust Towbars are quite cheap and they are very good. I have had a couple of them fitted, had witter before that. I have a Skoda Superb and people ask what I tow the caravan with as they cannot see tow bar or electrics (electric socket swings down).

Excellent suggestion guys. Towtrust bar ordered via ebay. £220. Just need an electrics kit now.
