personally i would be going via kincardine bridge (its free!) and less likely to be affected by any weather issues or traffic problems, a couple of miles longer but about the same time in travelling i pressume your following the A1 south? as for dunfermline you dont need to go thr it at all
ok if thats the way you choose but then again why ask about dunfermline? all you need to do is use the A823/B914 to get back to the M90 and you dont go anywhere near dunfermline at all
Google maps says 154 miles using Forth bridge and 175 using Kincardine bridge. May I ask when are you going to be at Eyemouth?
Apologies, I missed the bit about Powmill. Google maps still says Forth bridge route is shorter, all Scottish bridges are toll free https://www.visitscotland.com/about/practical-information/driving-in-scotland/ and scroll down to:- ROUNDABOUTS, ROADS AND BRIDGES
I realise now that we don't have to go through Dunfermline, hence the edit to my first post. We will be at Eyemouth for 4 nights from 11th June. 175-154=29. Thanks for info Flat at, like your username.
If you can tow to Powmill, you can tow anywhere in that area. I’ve always found that road a bit bendy. I didn’t look at M90 J numbers but back to Kinross? And new Forth Road bridge (Queensferry Crossing) for sure, rather than Kincardine for the east coast, not just for shorter distance but because the connections are much smoother & it’s also a beautiful structure.
Been over the Forth Bridge several times. Ideally wanted to stay at Kinross/Milnathort, but Hattonburn Nursery no longer has a site, the CL at Kinross doesn't open until July, no idea why!
Well, if you’re ticking off bridges, how about the relatively new long & low Clackmannanshire Bridge, angled to the Kincardine Bridge but without the guddle of roads at the north end.
