Can anyone advise what towing mirrors would best fit a Skoda Kodiak?
Most towing mirrors are fairly universal and fit most cars. There are various types, some that have screw clamps which clamp onto the top of the door mirrors, some that attach to the mirror glass by a suction cup, and others that strap round the door mirror assembly. Which type you choose is entirely personal. Some swear by particular types and others swear AT them, so it's entirely up to you. I personally have used the strap-on type for many years and on 3 different vehicles with no problems whatsoever, but others hate them for some reason. Just remember that as with many other things in life, more expensive doesn't necessarily mean better.
I've lost count of the different types of mirror I have had in the last 40 years BUT I keep going back to the strap ons. Fortunately there is a reason market for second hand mirrors- so I've not wasted all of the money spent - madde a profit on a few!
I currently use the strap ons on my Audi Q5 - I would hazard a guess that the Kodiak mirror housings are similar. Only thing i had to do was invest in some new extra long straps on Fleabay. if you go that route I'd recommend getting a couple of spare straps.

I had to do exactly the same with mine. They fitted fine on my Volvo V70, and the Hyundai Tucson I replaced it with, but my X Trail that I have now has bigger mirrors so the straps weren't long enough.
If your looking for best fit I would recommend EMUK Towing mirrors.
Yes they are expensive but they are made to fit individual cars. Around £125.00 for your Skoda depends if you have cameras fitted to the door mirrors they do ones to fit with or without.
I brought a pair for my car and they fit perfectly no vibration at all, but they are expensive I’ll grant you.
I have a used set of Milenco Aero 3 Grande that I am selling. Swicth to suck-it-and-see delux as my new(ish) mirrors don't have anywhere to clamp the Milenco.
I will second that clbewi. EMUK mirrors are a little bit expensive but fit easily don't vibrate and give really good vision. I have had a few different ones in the past but they were no comparison to EMUK.
I have some Milenco Aero mirrors which I bought when I had a Kia Sorento. I did have problems getting them to grip the mirrors properly.
I bought a Skoda Karoq just over a year ago and found the grip even worse.
I bought some Milenco replacement F pads from bigwhitebox57, a discount caravan supplies seller on eBay. The pads are shaped to fit VW Group mirrors and having used them on a recent caravan holiday in France, I can confirm that they are the business. Item no 254011514461 priced at £10.99.
Just out of curiosity I have just taken a look at EMUK mirrors for my car and they are £114-95 plus all sorts of extras. Compared to the strap-on mirrors that I use which work out at less than £25 a pair.
When looking at the design of the EMUK ones I can't see how they could be any better than the ones I use. If anything I would think that my ones would be more stable as they have arms at the top and bottom, whereas the EMUK ones only have one single arm.
Like I said they are not cheap.
But the quality is second to none, they fit perfectly to your mirror even allowing for the indicators on the mirror to be seen. They are made of cast aluminium. You don’t have to buy the extra bits but I went for the larger glass.
The problem with my particular car ( BMW) is that the clamps on the generic mirrors end up cracking the the mirror surround which is an expensive repair, a common problem on my model car.
I’ve had a few different towing mirrors in the past and in my opinion these are best I’ve had. It’s a bit like the thread on campsite costs per night some are happy with paying more than others.

Yes indeed, some are happy paying more than others, and each to their own I say. I am also a bit wary about the clamp-on mirrors possibly cracking the mirror surrounds, they are expensive to replace on my X Trail too, which one of the main reasons I went for the strap-on type apart from just price. They are very stable and the friction between the straps and the mirror surrounds makes them extremely unlikely to move or come off when on the move. I have never suffered with vibration on any of the cars I've used them on, like others have said they have.
I've used several brands of towing mirrors over the years with different types of security attachment such as strap on and clamp on and found that the Milenco Grand Aero were far the best. However, after a recent post in connection with the EMUK towing mirrors I decided to purchase a pair for my Volvo for just under £120 but having used them twice in the last few weeks I found that they are worth every penny. Not only is the vibration totally eliminated but the vision has been increased due to the shape of the mirrors compared to the Milenco teardrop shape. As the Milenco ones are clamped to the edge of the door mirror housing from the front they do need to be tight to stop the wind dislodging the clamps but with the EMUK type being fully secured around the rear of the door mirror housing and secured at two outer points there is no chance of the towing mirrors coming off due to excessive wind pressure. The only disadvantage is that if you change the vehicle then it's going be harder to sell a dedicated pair of towing mirrors specifically for a vehicle than it would for ones that are universal.
