Not sure which forum this should be posted in. Yesterday I bought Adblue for my diesel 2l Ford Focus, a ten litre container costs me £34.99 from a local garage. I expected to pay a little more than Amazon or ebay prices but was amazed this morning to see prices on these websites show available for much less, a typical price being around the £20 mark. I don't use Adblue pumps because generally the pumps are more suited to commercial vehicles. I have been back to the garage today and confirmed I was charged the price they sell at, also checked the RRP of Adblue and see that it is £37.99 for 10 litres. Don't think I'll be buying Adblue from the garage again. This post is essentially for information and assist other members from paying more than necessary.
I usually get mine from Toolstation the last time I purchased one it was £10.99 for 10 litres just noticed that theirs is now £20.49 !! Just proving that the real rate of inflation is a darn sight higher than the government would lead us to believe.
Nothing really to do with inflation, more about where it’s ingredients are manufactured.

The rate of inflation is very misleading. People tend to think that is a measure of the cost of living but it is anything but. The real rise in the cost of living, as measured by the cost of the seven essentials, is probably more than double the published inflation rate, as that is an average of over 700 items, many of which haven't risen much in decades. For example, a TV costs no more today than one did in the 1970s, but food costs around 14 times as much, and however many times have house prices and rents risen by in that time?
Last AdBlue I bought was £35 for 20 litres from a local garage in N Yorkshire last year. Costco usually have some on offer if you are a member - around the £8.50 for 5 litres mark. Aldi is not a bad place to look if they have it in stock.
Personally I always buy mine from the pump - the last couple of times it's been £1.99 / litre. Not necessarily any cheaper than buying it in other shops but in the interests of protecting the environment, I object to buying the stuff in a heavy duty plastic container which then has to be disposed of. Not to mention the pollution associated with making the container in the first place.

Many of the larger Esso and BP garages have Adblue pumps (I don't know about other fuel brands). There are 2 that I know of within a couple of miles of where I work. Try doing a Google search from your home town.

Hi, When Adblue was first available a few years ago now there was some discussion about the pumps being too powerful for the smaller Adblue tanks in cars as opposed to larger commercial vehicles. Its fairly obvious you have had no problems using the Adblue tanks and it follows that these pumps can be used by private cars without causing any problems, good to know.
Roberts Essar fuel, just outside Whitchurch, Shropshire had AdBlue for £18.99 for 10 litres. Last week diesel was £142.9 per litre, about 12 p cheaper than the supermarkets.
Screwfix Ad Blue was £21.49 the other day
well as far as i am concern the only place i will use to fill my skoda yeti adblue is on the garage forcourt as simple as filling my disel tank.Last week the warning light came on saying 400 miles left, goes to the texaco service station on anglesey fill it up at the cost of £12.25 so that will do me about 8000 miles.No hassle no jugs no spillage no waste.And it took 4.5 litres,
