Just an update on this incase anyone is looking. I found it impossible to get much information at the time.
Well, I’ve been towing an Xplore 302 with MTPLM of 930kg for the past 6 months with no issues. Car pulls well and it’s hard to tell van is on the back.
It’s rated at 1200kg so could tow a little more but for now I’m happy with the van. Getting a tow bar fitted wasn’t the easiest but Barnsley Tow Bar centre were fantastic. I’ve had a Steinhof detachable fitted. I already had the bike rack prep in the car so didn’t upgrade the electrics. It’s doesn’t charge the battery or power the fridge but I’m too worried about that.
So all in all, all good.
