Hi, I am fitting a new stabilizer bar to my Van. ( In the past I have never used a stabilizer, just my wife has been reading up on Caravan nightmares and swaying problems , she made me buy this. ) I have the "vehicle end" plate set up just fine ! My question is this. The bracket you fix to the caravan, when hitched up how far should the bar "stick through the bracket on the caravan" when the vehicle & caravan is straight ? I do understand that it is made so it should not fall out when the vehicle is on full lock. I have been told about 4 inches. Is this correct ? Thanks for any advice. Set up is mardon 4 berth and Landrover Disco.
