We are looking for a new car to tow our caravan with, at the moment we have a 2.8 Frontera which is fine but it is swb and theres not much room inside. We have looked at a 2.8 Pajero which is fab but whats it like as a car? and for towing? does anyone know?

Hi

We have a 2.8 Pajero, well I say we but it's my husbands really.  I love to drive it and do so at any given opportunity.  I had never towed before but I feel really happy when I pull the caravan with the Pajero, it has plenty of power and after a short time you almost forget the caravans there.  Like I say though, I have nothing to compare it with on the towing but I prefer to drive it much more than my car.

It's funny - my car is 'my car' but my husbands car is 'our car'.

Hi,

I just bought a Pajero 2.5 Exceed for exactly the same thing - towing a caravan. So far I love it - not towed yet mind, Check out the Pajero website as there a separate section on caravanning. The comments I got were - if you tow with a Pajero - you wont know the caravan is there.
