I havent owed with a 2ltr Mondeo although I did own one for a while and have towed with far less capable tow cars. Im positive that you shouldnt have a problem.-------------

The Mondeo is a great tow can. I have towed my big boat with it and now my camping trailer ( not as big, but not small either ). It has always been stable and sometimes I even forget I have got something on the back.------------- Steve

Just had to swap Mondeo's due to an Astra getting in the way of the last one!! Picked a V6 auto instead of the 2lt manual this time as it struggled a bit at towing speeds due I think to the low revs at those speeds. What I did find was that even though it struggled in fifth changing down to forth made for worse fuel economy by about 2-3 mpg? Other than that like the others I find it a very stable tug... thats why I got another one.

Just got rid of our 2.5 V6 mondeo as we were sick of getting stuck in the mud and having to rely on the resident tractor....... but it towed fine without any problems.------------- Claire
