We are considering buying a touring caravan but dont have a drive for storage. Hence this post before we take the leap of faith we wondered if anyone here is in the Stoke on Trent area and uses storage as we need to locate somewhere to store it? Thanks in advance for any help.
many years ago. We loved the area but were not over impressed by the site, i believe it has improved recently, you could always have a drive down to see for yourself. We enjoyed the fact that if you did not want to travel you could pull your van out of storage and use it for the weekend then put it back. They also have a big rally field.
Thanks all and thanks for that Bill. About two weeks ago we actually camped at Hales Hall for the weekend with a massive group of friends 30 adults and 11 children and 55 greyhounds and lurchers attatched and rehomed to the rescue I run. They gave us the bottom of the rally field and it was fabulous. The site has greatly improved it was spotlessly clean, no loud music or anything like we read on reviews and the staff were obliging welcoming and fabulous. They were hesitant on letting us go with so many dogs but took the time to compliment us on the behaviour of the dogs with us.
our van is kept on a storage compound in weston near stafford 170 pound a year plus 20 for the compound key we would like to bring it closer to home but havnt foun d anywhere yet would be interested myself if anyone knows a place close to blurton i do believe there is one in stone but cant find it
i am also in blurton have recently moved ours from local (talke) to further afield (shavington) far better security on new compound can put details on if ya wud like.
thanks mrs p but was trying to get closer i think shavington is about the same distance as we go to now at weston takes us about 20 mins through hilderstone level. We live on the newstead estate
I don't know what it is called but I know there is a storage site near the junction at Weston between the A51 and A518). If you come from Stoke to Stone down the A34, turn left at the traffic Island heading towards Lichfield. Go past the left turning for Uttoxeter (a set of traffic lights) and you will come to another set of traffic lights (right for Stafford, straight on for Rugeley / Lichfield). If you look to your left you will see A LOT of caravans by the railway track. I'm afraid I am not sure where the entrance to the compound is but it must be close by!
Good luck

I don't have personal experience of these and have not heard any reviews, but there is a storage site at Moorfields Industrial Estate, Cotes Heath (A519 Newcastle to Eccleshall road) and one on the A50 just out of Kidsgrove town centre.
