Hi all,

does anyone know what the S type jag is like to tow with ? I'm thinking aboutgetting one, the weight of the vehicle and its power/torque seem fine.

I would imagine it makes a reasonable towcar as they tend to be quite powerful machines but I wouldn't want the hit on the value that's for sure.

I was going to use my Jag (a real Jag not a Mondeo),  but it has less pull than my Galaxy......lol

Will settle for my new Jap crap and do it in style

I think you're confusing the S-Type for the X-Type reedrider, not that the X-Type is based on the Mondeo. Contrary to what most people seem to think, Jaguar started X-Type development in parallel with the current Mondeo. So, yes, they share components but one isn't based on the other.

Got a 1989 G reg Jaguar Sovereign 3.6litre, petrol, automatic sat in my garage, got damaged front wing, bumper and headlight, was written off (Jaguar price for bumper is approx £1000) when a lorry hit it outside my unit. Had spent a lot of money on it before it got bumped, but since me becoming ill, the chances of me mending it now are very remote. I would like it to go to good home and as such it will be free to anyone offering it one. (The kids gave it to me for my birthday 3 or 4 years ago)
