Meanwhile, Grandma & Grandad Ulti-mate have just ordered an Abbey 418 (fixed bed) and they have declared that if the young man stays with them, they will give him the fixed double whilst they slum-it on the front make-up beds. Can you believe it ???? The same people used to buy me a bottle of coke and packet of crisps to sit in the pub car park with - how times change!!
I have a mondeo 2.0 tdci and took it to my works weigh bridge to see how close it was to k/w and with half a tank and nothing else in car it weighed in at 1520 kg so about 25 over what book says hope this helps any mondeo owners.
My Mondeo Kerbweight is 1506kg and I have been towing my Senator Virginia MPTLM 1499kg for over a year without any problem at all including going uphill in Devon and Cornwall.
Your V5C will tell you the mass in running weight of your car.

75kg is the max noseweight for the Mondeo. I tow 1450kg with my 55 plate TDCi 115 and it does the job splendidly, absolutely stable and 5th gear ( top ) all the tie on the motorway at 55mph returning 35mpg towing.
