Hi. I have read a few posts and from what I'm reading are you meant to keep tent out of the bag and just fold and keep somewhere so it doesn't get dam with no air getting to it???. Thanks for any help on this.
As above.
Always kept mine in their bags ( thats what they are meant for ) just make sure they are completely dry before doing so.
My biggest problem is those pesky meeces ! 🐁🐀
Always kept my tents (and caravan awnings) tightly packed in their carry bags, sometimes for many years between uses, without any issues. The big BUT is they must be totally dry before packing, and stay dry in storage.
If you have lots of tents and you keep them loose from their bags by next spring you'll have forgotten which bits go with which tent. Once dry, preferably at your last campsite, pack the tent in it's bag with poles and pegs. The tent is now ready for storage (unless it requires repairs).
Next time you use the tent open it up then check for poles and pegs. If you've put the poles and pegs somewhere safe while you dry the tent you'll end up buying a new tent before you can find them.
If you've had to buy a new tent because you can't find the poles or you've arrived at a campsite with no pegs you'll agree with me. If you haven't you'll think I'm over doing it.
Thanks for your help with this guys. I need to stop watching idiots on YouTube!. Not all idiots on YouTube though as I have learnt a lot of tricks ect from watching quite a lot of videos. Thanks again guys. Eddie

If it's dry when it goes in the bag there's no problem with using that for storage. All my tents ever have been stored in their bags.
