My tent a Vango is intended to be left intact after first use. The connectors between the inner tent and the fly sheet left connected.
They even abolished properly folding and rolling the tent before putting it in the bag. Just roll it roughly, stuff it in then tighten the nylon straps around the tent bag to squeeze out the air.
When you put the tent back up it looks a bit crumpled but the tension of the guy lines and the breeze soon smooth it out.
A heavy cotton canvas tent may need properly folding and bagging for storage but it doesn't really matter with synthetic nylon of polyester tents.
What is critical, whatever type of tent you have, is drying the tent properly before bagging it for storage. If a tent is wet or damp when you take it down you must air and dry it before putting it away.
As you take a tent down check it for damage, glass fiber poles fray in high winds etc. Make a mental note of anything that needs fixing. Make sure you fix anything that needs doing before you put the tent back in storage. If you don't like your tent pegs now is the time to find something better.
Once the tent fabric is dry, any repairs are carried out and the tent is being returned to it's bag for storage check poles and pegs are actually returned to the tent bag before storing it. After a long winter you won't remember where you safely stowed the pole or peg bags and will just assume they are packed ready for you.
------------- Enjoy the liveliness of the syntax.
