I still say the sunngas heaters - only £20 and gives of far more heat than the BC. and far safer it has a grill on the front and you can move it around. It keeps us all toasty warm.

We love the Black cat heater and are now in our third season with it. It warms the Weathermaster perfectly (an already well ventilated tent). We haven't tried it in the Montana 6 yet although there is no reason to think that it will not perform in the bigger tent.

The problem we have for this season though is that we are hoping to take our three year old grandaughter and an extra dog (that makes two dogs). It doesn't matter how good the Black Cat is, there is still a safety concern with a small child and a mad (but quiet) puppy running about, it is, after all still a hot, fiery (without flames!) object. So short of putting a great big fireguard in the tent, I think that this year we will go for EHU with a fan heater.

We're not ceasing use of the B.C. for other camps (minus dogs and children) though.

Rob
