We went to Munich for the beer festival, took the tent and stuff in 2 holdhalls with wheels on, and flew, we had a great time.

Driven with the tent to the High French Alps for several years but the furthest I've taken my tent is Spain, there is a wonderful ferry from Plymouth to Santander so it's not as hard work as it sounds. If you count campervans as camping then Colorado USA (fabulous)
