Life's too short but I do take a brush and used to have a dustpan till the dog ate it!!
Same here, well apart from the fact that the dog hasn't eaten the dustpan yet.
A mat or two in front of the main tent door seems to catch a lot of dirt before it gets any further in and then its shoes OFF!
Cleaning out the tent is much more of a problem if you have a sewn in groundsheet, which thankfully we do not have anymore in our main family tent. MT

Dustpan and brush, doesn't take up much space and does the job.

Am I the only one - just bought a very small Sainsbury's Basics pull around after you hoover. £14.89. We have the Vango Orchy and carpet and last year were using a dust pan and brush but the brush was pulling at the carpet fibres and ruining it. With the space created with using the hoover to suck the air from duvet shrink bag this more than makes room for the hoover in the boot. Cant wait to put it to action in August.

Val
My 3 year old looked at the iron in wonder just last week and asked 'what's that for mummy' - oops. Life's too short to iron!!
we take a dustpan and brush - and normally use it after we've set up to get rid of the dead grass that we didn't bother clearing up before we packed up last time.
I ain't never gonna win housewife of the year.
------------- Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to slide in sideways --- champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other --- screaming... WOOHOO, WHAT A RIDE!"

I have a couple of picnic blankets and a tiny dustpan and brush and a plastic beach mat thing that I put as a runner by the door. Works fine by me and I'm in agreement with Val, I will never take hoover, iron or ironing board, I'm on holiday!

Oh, the same themes pop up year after year, belive me. It doesn't make much difference as to when the thread got started originally!
