Have to say we always take our Potra Potti with us when we camp, even on sites with facilities. Not an essential piece of kit but very useful especially with young children!!

You can guarantee that your pitch will be the furthest away from the toilet block, it will be 3am, tipping it down with rain and you hear a little voice saying "Muuuuuuum, I need a wee"

We bought ours from a local camp shop - it cost £45 and came with all the chemicals and 6 rolls of loo paper.
Very easy to use and clean and was definately money well spent.

If your worried about night time toilet trips and your concerned about the expense - get yourself a bucket with a lid.  Cheap and cheerful and does the job, would'nt be without mine now.  There is nothing worse than waking at 3am needing the toilet and its chucking it down with rain and your all cosy in your sleeping bag!
