I'll be camping for three days in the dales at the very end of October in a back packing tent. The last time I did that it went down to -5C & I still slept & ate with no problems. It all depends on being prepared & having the right kit for the job. If you have not do not go!!!

im seriously considering some winter camping too. We've got the SIG and also a really nice warm halogen heater with 400 and 800 watt settings (less than a tenner in Poundstretchers) plus the gas heater as backup. Im not 100% happy with our sleeping bags and feel that we need better ones before attempting it though
