We're camping at Kelling Heath in North Norfolk and the forecast is for snow on Saturday and Sunday and heavy rain on the Thursday when we are pitching the tent - are we Daft - definately - will we do it again - probably!!!
I'm getting more worried by the minute. we've also got a football tournament to attend for two of the days so that will be freezing - which I could take my heater along to the football pitch
We are taking our 8 month old Cairn Terrier, it will be his first camping trip - I hope he's going to warm enough, I can see him getting in our bags with us.
I have thought of cancelling but the kids are looking forward to it so much that I haven't got the heart too - we'll just touhg it out with plenty of thermal layers and hats.
We are planning to go to Anglesey easter sunday for 6 nights !! .....And I can't wait....All I can say is that our worst camping experience was last JULY when the tent blew down and we ended up in a B & B which I hated.
We now have a new sturdier tent (minnisota 4) and i recon the weather can't be worse than last year's 'so called summer'. We camped the last 2 easters and yes it's chilly at night but you just wrap up well. It's lovely for walking when it's cold and sunny.
Oh yeah..... OH says "please has anyone got a TV in their tent/caravan who will be watching the motor racing on easter sunday" LOL ..... If you are going to Anglesey would you be kind enough to let us watch too?
We never even give TV a thought when we are camping....BUT... well you know... men and their motors...lol.

LOL I know - I had every blanket, jumper etc piled on and around dd and I just concentrated on being as warm as I could and surviving till morning. I reckon if I still go camping after that (and I do!) then I can cope with pretty much anything
I woke up at about 3am really cold, scrambled into my kitbag and dug out another fleece, gloves and hat was okay. funny thing weather wise dent was the best in a tent in 2007. worst was callander, ended up sleeping in the car in 80 odd mph winds, tent survived okay but think it was in the early hours I thought having a caravan was a good idea
one thing folks about camping in cold conditions, dont change into night time clothes, they will be cold and you lose body heat warming them up sleep in what you are wearing and try and keep warm
