We are off for our first trip of 2008 next Monday and I can't wait either.
We were supposed to go to the Lakes at Easter but the long-term weather on Metcheck (correctly) forecasted high winds and heavy rain so we cancelled a few days before. As it turned out we wouldn't have gone anyway because all 4 of came down with colds, plus I had laryngitis and a gum infection
We are off to Kingsbury Waterpark near Birmingham. Metcheck shows some rain and cold at night which we can handle ... but thankfully no high winds.
ooo I am glad to see you are all as excited as me :) I dont know when we are going tet as I am waiting to get confirmation on holidays from work but fingers crossed it will be soon!!
I know I can't wait either - keep nagging my oh as we have purchased a new tent and I am gagging to try it out.
Was going to go this weekend and then hubbie remembered Albion are at Wembley and of course there is no way on earth he would ever risk not being able to watch that!!!!
my sister (diane 33 on here) was so relieved when you posted this she came straight down my house to insist we went camping this weekend. we went to brecon this time last year and froze. but she is now basing her arguement on the fact that you can't wait either.
hope you get to go soon but she is waiting till mayday.
Hehe yeah I am too much of a wimp to go now, we went to lakes at easter a couple of years ago in our old small tent (which we found out was no longer waterproof on first night) , we were SO unprepared we just had blow up bed and duvet, no heater and it snowed while we were there. I have never been so cold!!
We now look back and think fondly of the trip because it was really good fun and was a lovely place, but we dont think fondly of the middle of the night trips to toilet!!
well thanks 4 your support topsie lol bet u dont mind now that u r prepared we have bought heaters i just cant wait. Thats why i got a tent so i can go on a wim hehe he

We're booked to go to the Isle of Wight next Tuesday for a week. Went about the same time last year and froze at night but loved it. Now have new tent with SIG so I hope we'll be warmer. Like the rest of you, we can't wait.
yes i know ive already posted on this thread but im so excited about camping sat woo hoo.
dont care now about the weather as i know we are going to be cosy and im just happy to be in my lil ole tent.
ok will calm down now and start getting equipment together,arghhhhhh now where did i put the camping kettle lol i need tea when i get there haha
