I was re-reading the C&CC mag on this.

Apparently the Monty 6 is 4.15m wide, and the awning/doorway is 1.15m on top of that. That makes 5.3m. In other words, a foot - out of a gap of 6m. A whole foot. And that only applies to the small width at the bottom of the awning anyway - we're talking the height of 1m of a 1m wide doorway here. Is it just me that thinks this is being just a tad officious ?

So apparently you can pitch on a normal pitch without the awning - I think I'd pitch the awning and just fold it back a foot now and then .....
