Honestly, you tackle tarts, have you no control? you really need to get a grip of yourselves
Having said that my new camp kitchen came on Thursday, we spent today in Camperlands and Go Outdoors and tomorrow we are checking out Wilkinsons to see what they have before nipping over to Bury to get two Gelert 400 DL XL sleeping bags, well at £19.99 it would be silly not to
BUT WE HAVE IT UNDER CONTROL DAMMIT
I was in Camperlands and Go Outdoors yesterday!! Any idea how long the sale at Camperlands is on for, Caster?
No idea FS but there's always a sale/bargain to be had somewhere, all you need is dedication, not that i pay much attention

Yeah yeah yeah course you do lol
I have been really good recently !
In the past few weeks I have been to several huge camping stores and only bought a few things :)

Hi all
The way I Have looked at camping in recent years. What is the cost of two weeks for a family of four in an hotel for two weeks in August and all you have to show for it is photos of a crowded hotel and beach.
No camping is still the cheapest and most relaxing holiday for people who are camping minded some people think its slumming even in a modern touring caravan
But once you have bought the tent and trailer the fun then begins

My arguement is that once you have the stuff it is going to last you for lots of trips out.
Yes there will be times when stuff needs replacing - but that's no different than at home.
I was unable to get away in the tent last year (few trip in the camper), and this year will have to replace things like cutlery (Poundland's best) plates/dishes etc.(Poundland or my local bargain shop). However, they will last a couple of years - not bad for about £20 tops investment.
Thats my philosophy to buy the best equipment we can afford - the best not always being the most expensive of course & then it will last us many years. I have spent the best part of the Winter tackling up & just when we've got pretty much everything struck off the very long list we visit the NEC and whilst Im oohing & ahhing over the Vango & Outwell stand I find the OH chatting animatedly to a salesman on the Lunar stand & we spent the next hour in and out of the Lunar, Swift & Bailey stands although having never set foot in a caravan before I was impressed.
We have a clash of desires at the moment - but I have definitely secured another 12mths of tenting I dont feel ready to make that shift yet.
My OH says when it comes to anything on camping he just feels it is better for him to shut up as where that subject and the expence is concerned he would never dare say anything against it (wise man)

------------- The meaning of life the universe and everything = 42 or camping?
Well I've just come back from the Doctors and he told me some terrible news........ It appears that I'm Camping Positive (or C+ for short). Apparently its quite common amongst users of UKCS and there is no known cure. He advised me to stay off Ebay and stop trawling the web for the latest bargains, also advised to get more fresh air so guess what.......I'm going camping
Every time you go camping you see something that you couldn't possibly live without. It's the same coming on here and following all the links. I dread to think how much I have spent. However, this Forum is absolutely addictive and brilliant and all the advice given is great advice. I could not have started my camping life without it.
OH is terrified everytime he comes home and finds me on this forum, so far just in the last few days I have bought loads of things that have been recommended by someone, yesterday bought the blow up chairs from wilkinson. Today have to go to Tesco to pick up the chairs and tables that I ordered, now going to go and find an igloo icebox (another recommendation) would never have known about the footprint and the carpet.. whoops forgot bought that today along with the sun porch...I walk around the supermarket and buy little things, Asda had a few things on Sunday. He is definately going to take my laptop away!!! going surfing again... I am sure I need something else..
