Well were definitely going as weve just gone and spent a fortune on a kampa Lulworth which they say is a good one! plenty of room to sit in and play games. Were picking our daughter up tomorrow(shes been camping in yorkshire with Guides!!) were gonna head off and maybe camp on the field in the site rather than on the cliff we usually like as it may be less windy.
We went to North West Scotland last week in July,1st week in August.
The weather forcast was rubbish - we did have a few showers and the tail end of a tornado from Stornoway that snapped 4 of our tent poles, but we cant wait to book again for next year!
We had some lovely sunshine in between and if you pack your waterproofs and a few indoor games, nowts a bother!!
We lived in Leeds till last summer and now live in Norfolk. I can confirm that Norfolk is an awful lot drier! Doesn't mean you'll have a dry week but you're far more likely to have one there than West Yorks. I've had a lovely day off today on the beach with the kids.
------------- From tents to trailer tents to a tin tent to an air tent to trailer tent and back to tin tent!

I'm taking my girls away for a week to Norfolk on Monday, keep looking at the weather forcast, packed a few games and a portable DVD player, quite looking forward to snuggling in the tent, and having early nights!
The only thing I'm worried about is not being able to cook, we could be living of chip butties for a week!
We`re going to Norfolk Saturday...the forcast is pretty good , apart from some showers on wednesday
14 degrees knobbly knees - the hottest day since records began - mixed mud wrestling, catching the rays, the big squeeze, traffic jams - hand held fans - we will complain when it hot, moan when there are showers -
But its glorious, loveable eccentric and ours!!
British Summer! LOL I love that Bulmers ad...
Well I love English weather as always - if nothing else, it gives us all a common ground for conversation.
Hi ! I hope this helps I live in East Yorkshire not on the coast but we've had a few days on the coast this week, we have seen hardly any rain and its been quite hot and sunny at times! The weather forecasters have got it wrong nearly every day this week, i,ve given up looking. We,ve recently had 10 days in north yorkshire the weather was warm and dry most days, at worst a bit overcast a couple of days, the week before we went away it poured down and we got really panicky but like most people have said just go prepared for the worst and it usually turns out well !!
I know how you feel, we were supposed to be squeezing in a couple of days away as of tomorrow, but the weather forecast has put me off, not the rain but the bit where it said possible thunderstorms
