Yup, we toured Scotland on our honeymoon 12 years ago. Spending one night only in all places except Arrisaig because it was sooo very beautiful. We did Loch Fyne, Fort William, Loch Ness, Inverness, Ullapool, Gairloch, Kyle of Lochalsh, Arrisaig (2 nights), Oban, Tayvallish, Arrochar.

It was a pretty big trip and we were novice campers. I think only having the cheapest foam rubber sleeping mats and a second hand tent from a neighbours skip helped us to wake at 5:30 every morning so we could move on. I think we did 600 miles.

We were younger then with no kids. It was the best trip ever!

We have just come back from a tour of 5 sites in 3 weeks. Wasn't as bad as we thought. Just had to make sure that all the sites were within a few hours of each so we had time to take tent down and then re pitch.

We did 6 sites in 2 weeks. Loved every minute of it. Am hoping to o the same next year.

This year doing 2 sites over 11 nights. New Forest and IOW.

Its hard work packing/unpacking. Learnt that to travel light is the best way.
