I went last weekend, first time I went on holiday during the August BH. It was a small local site, and I had a relaxing time.
The only issue was lack of hot water in the shower when I crawled out of bed at about 09:15h on Sunday. My fault for getting me late! Very tempted to drive back home to have a hot shower, however, I decided against it and braved the lukewarm water instead.
Shame about the weather though.
I only did it because my original holiday in the first week of Sep 09 had to be postponed to mid Sep 09, and thought I should get a short break in between Jul 09 and Sep 09.
Next year, I may join my friend and her family for a long weekend during the summer holiday.
