I joined C & CC at Christmas. Have booked 4 trips this year:

Windermere, Hayfield, Delamere and Clitheroe. The money saved on the booking through being a member has more than paid for the subscription. So it has worked for us !

Haven't managed to get to a THS yet, but looking through the magazine the other night, a lot of them are in school holidays, so ideal for families to get away.

The club sites are good, if a little pricy, so normally visit off-season. Some of the certified sites are wonderful as well.

We like the small listed sites. The large club sites have very good facilities with minimun distances between units. On the odd ocassion one or two staff have been a bit "jobsworth" about how the tent was pitched. The sites book and updates are good.I've Been a member for several years.
