I strongly suggest not trying 'wild camping' in the forest, unless you have had sufficient experience in sensitive areas.

I had to apply for a permit, to use a ground based wooden pole assembly for radio aerials.

There are a number of Rangers and other people on the lookout for 'wild campers'.

I have done service at Crowborough Training Camp in the past.

Despite being called a 'Forest' many of the trees were removed many years ago, therefore the cover required for hiding away is very much non-existent.

Try the site and enjoy walking/cycling in Pooh Bear country.

I may be there myself.

To assist in my quest to go tenting in November, I purchased some new thermals at our local Sunday Market.

I learned about 'layering' many years ago.

Thankfully, the tops and bottoms are individually available, therefore I was able to 'mix and match' the sizes. But Size L works for me.

As to how well they work, (at 3 GBP per item) remains to be proven.

I did a quick fitting check, before putting them in the washing machine. I'll re-check to fit later.

hello there, i know its a year away, but next bonfire night, its our 17th wedding anniversary, and my 40th, so just for once we are going to leave the kids at my parents, leave the tent at home and hire a vw camper for a long weekend in gower, we always have about three camping trips in the tent each year so this will be a little treat,  i just wonder if there will be anyone about, all the best, gary and claire
