I know quiet a few people who done well out of incorrect pricing or odd special offer deals at Go Outdoors and that includes us.

Many moons ago we got a Vango Diablo 600's, however, we had to return 2 tents due to the same fault. Now between getting the 1st tent and returning the 2nd tent, Go had changed their Diablo's from the previous years model to the current years model. We had picked up a bargain with the 1st tent, end of run deal etc etc and had paid £150 on returning the 2nd one though the manager looked at the tent to ok the exchange and said to the sales guy to raise a £50 gift voucher as compensation !! great didnt even ask !! So took new tent to the cash till gave over original receipt too girl who scans new tent, should have been double the price of the old tent as it was the later model but it was to be a straight exchange for the previous model as they didnt have any of that model left. However, the girl seemed to struggle with the exchange but finally gave us the new tent and a gift voucher for £130  Why I asked " Oh you have £50 compensation and your old tent is not on the system at the offer price now so I have had to put it through at £80 more than you paid" ...."Right Ok but we only paid what is on the receipt" ... "Yes I know but I have to go by the price on the system and the price of the new tent and thats what I have to give you back" ???? "Oh right ....... are you sure" 2nd person gets involved ... "Yes thats right"  

Who am I to complain  I didnt have the strength to try and point out her mistake as no one seemed bothered so basically we got a £300 tent for £20

Must admit though when we went back to spend the gift voucher we did expect to be stopped at the till and told there was a problem but no all ok !!

Good to see there are still honest people out there that question this kinda thing when it comes up, rather than taking advantage.  But when the shop insists that its right, then what can u do, lol!  Great stuff!  :)
