A three night trip to Treborth Hall campsite in North Wales. I generally either go for long weekends or hiking trips which involve a different site every night.

Nine nights. We'd booked for five nights, but it was so idyllic that we stayed another four nights

14 nights when the kids were young, but these days usually only 3 nights at each site.

Mine was around 30 nights (including a couple of nights in the corner of a cow shed...) This was with some friends when I was about 16 / 17.  We did the same thing two summers in a row.

I remember the first night, there were five of us, all of our kit for a month, and a 4 man tent.  We managed to somehow get some sleep, even though personal space was somewhat limited (there are stories we will never tell...)

I do remember sleeping with the bottom half of my legs sticking out of the door in a bin bag...

The kindly owner of the field subsequently loaned us an old frame tent (a bit mouldy, a couple of tears, no inner, no groundsheet...).  We thought it was a palace!

The whole experience brings a smile to my face even now 15 years later.

I like to tour around so it's usually four or five days or a week at most. I do know of one site who has a site rule where you have to move the tent around the site every four days. I don't like the rule as by the time I move my tent I may as well pack up and move on somewhere else. If a site has a policy of not operating to full capacity then grass that has been covered over for a week or even more will recover very quickly. A camper newly arrived will never pitch on top of a yellowed bit of grass ( well - I never would!)

last year we spent two weeks at Pillaton, we have booked this years holiday at Callow Top for 2 weeks July/August.
Once we are pitched it stays until it is time to come home,
I would hate to keep packing up and moving elsewhere
