It seems the formula for Avon Skin So Soft has changed and isn't effective against the midges anymore.

A couple of years ago in Cyprus we were getting bitten to death in the first couple of days, and looking in a local chemist the pharmacist recommended a roll on repellant called mosquito milk. She recommended it as it was what all the locals used, and even though there was a spray on version she reckoned the roll on was best. We bought some an were never troubled by bites for the rest of the holiday, or any of our camping weekends away here in the uk over the last 2 years. It's brilliant stuff, and you can get it here over the internet (e-bay etc) and I honestly can't recommend it highly enough.

I'm not sure how much of a problem they'll be so am taking no chances: Avon Skin-so-Soft, Stop Bite, Smidge, fancy pop-up hat with net, and some netting to make a screen for the bell tent door!

Bet we don't see any midgies now!
