I've always used the shoogle method suggested by JimCall.  Very scientific...  but it does work for me.

But I always take along a small, backpack-style single burner too, just in case the gaz bottle runs out and I'm suddenly, disastrously without the means to make tea somewhere out in the wilds of Snowdonia.  This would seriously affect my health and sanity!

Got 2 bottles on the go. When one runs out, replace and fill the empty.

It does however require space for the spare, which not everyone has. We have to squeeze it in.

We seriously could not get another thing into the car and roof box...not safely anyway!

We are that packed this weekend other half has suggested he goes up to the Dales on his bike, I think this is just an excuse not to listen to the 6 year old asking are we nearly there yet as we pull out of the drive lol
