Ooo around 360 miles from ours to Newquay. Shortest time we've done it in is around 7.5hrs, longest 14hrs - I'm the only driver (all depends on stops and traffic). Will be interesting to see how long it takes this year, first time towing the trailer! Well worth the drive though
For our main summer trip we don't mind driving 300 miles plus towing our trailer, but break it up with an overnight stop. For shorter trips around 150 miles would be the approximate maximum.
We're touring France in August - Champagne, Bordeaux, Dordogne and Brittany. By the time we've driven down and back from the North east we'll have done around 1900 miles.
I enjoy driving though, especially abroad, and the journey is part of the holiday.

We've travelled all the way from Aberdeen to the Vendee in France. Just over 1000 miles to get there and then another 1000 miles to get home again. Not for the faint hearted, but be split the journey up over 3 days and bribed the children with sweets, DVD's and regular stops. Didn't take the tent though. No room for it!!! Just hired one there and had a great holiday.
It's around 300 miles from home to Dover/Folkestone, we do that in 1 stretch before crossing to France. Then we drive to the Med, not usually in 1 stretch though. By the time we've returned the milage is around 2500. I used to do all the driving, once drove from Arles, s France to nearly Calais in 1 stretch, 575 miles, 9 hours driving with stops every 2 hours. Slept overnight, then home.
When our kids were teenagers, OH and I were volunteer drivers on a school trip. We drove minibuses to the Orkneys, youth hostelling.
We left Orkney on the Thurday morning, arrived Edinburgh evening. Left Friday, arrived home evening. Sat morning took the minibuses back, then set off with kids and Mum on our holiday to Bridport, Dorset coast. Viamichelin says it's 757 miles. We were young then.....
