Firstly, thank you all for your help and advice
Now I have some makes / suggestions to focus on I have a good starting point.
I have googled clothing, I spent hours reading reviews on just about anything I have bought, however, with clothing, there are so many 'best for outdoors' makes it makes my mind boggle.
I had found and was pleased with some of the makes suggested here, eg, craghopper, northface, beurghaus, from reviews they seemed to do the job, but ... nothing like first hand experience from people living outdoors in our climate, I wanted to know if they were worth the sometimes excessive price tag, also, having read about wicker layers, well ... c'mon, I am a Himbo ... again, the topic of wicker layers alone sent me hours deep on reviews, let alone the Insulating Layer and Wind/water proof Clothing Layer ...
In a nut shell, I was hoping and have found that you guys have sifted the chaff from the wheat
I must add, what a good start to what appears to be a most friendly forum, like camping, its a breath of fresh air
Dk where is this outlet shop? I can feel a visit coming on :) there are so many things I want to do on this holiday I think we need to stay for an extra week

It is located within the Designers Outlet complex in Swindon, not far off Junction 16 as you from Devizes to Swindon!!!
It is worth a trip there when you are in the area.
Don't blame me if you spend a fortune there though please!
