Me! I love the feeling of being all cosied up in my tent and hearing the rain!
Less enamoured of pitches that turn into a quagmire though, but I would not let rain put me off going camping (unless of course serious flood alerts were in force!)
That is what it is all about for us, take things as they come, and enjoy!

Engaged! Wedding June 2020!
Said to the wife that if we had a porch, muddy feet wouldn't get in the tent. (we bought a porch!) Said to wife, if we had a jet washer, could clean the mud off the tent easy! ( Mmmmm ...preasure washer heaven!)
Said to wife, pity we didn't have proper flooring in the tent, as we are spending a little more time in the tent it would be more homely! (new flooring for tent)
So, more rain please as it is like Birthdays and Christmas rolled into tiny, wet droplets!!

Camping? You want me to go camping? Listen...My idea of "roughing it" is a night at a Premier Inn with no cable tv in it!

Paying to sleep outside .....Surely, that is an insult to homeless people?

I have a love hate relationship with it. On the plus side it keeps me in a job (dealing with flooding) but it prevents me from going camping like this weekend when I'm on duty awaiting the forecast downpours tomorrow
However I have to agree it's a great feeling when in the tent all snug and warm (preferably with a glass of wine). I also can't resist punching puddles that have pooled on the roof from the inside - probably not good for tent waterproofness, but small things and all that!

Are yer blind, man? IT'S A TRAP!!!
I think a certain Mrs Razor is building up to "I'm sick of this poxy uk weather, darling....... Get yer wallet out, we're of on a Caribbean cruise"!!!
The sound of rain pattering on a tent fills me with gloom. My least-liked sound, it's the harbinger of misery.
Rain means getting cold, damp, and muddy. Rain means wet feet, wet clothes, wet tent, wet dog. Rain means being stuck inside for hours (though not so bad if it's a pub I'm stuck in). Rain turns great walks with wonderful views into chilly miserable slogs with nothing to see but grey. Even after the camping is over, rain means pools of water in the boot of the car and a dank tent draped over the bannisters.
I don't mind camping when it's hot, I don't mind camping when it's very cold (by which I mean well below zero), I don't even mind camping when its windy (although preferably not above Force 6 or 7) but I absolutely hate camping when it's raining.
Me, I love the sound of rain on canvas, especially at night. My perfect holiday would be rain at night and at least one thunderstorm with dry, sunny days. I wish
Not too bothered as long as I can pitch/decamp dry..Time of day and what I have planned for the day plays a big part in how I feel about rain pitter pattering on the tent..Day finished and I'm in my bed I can be lulled off to sleep by the sound...and quite enjoy it if I'm honest!!
Morning...Not so keen...As it lulls me off at night...so it also seems to wake me in the morning???? And keeps me awake at some ungodly hour knowing I have to eventually get up and go out in it(ablutions etc)
During the day...If I'm not off out somewhere..It can drive me stir crazy!!!!!!! Pitter Patter...Pitter Patter...Its like some sort of medieval water torture!!!
Perversely I can sit quite happily for hours under my fishing brolly listening to it belt down...
A few weeks ago...I tried a wee bit of hill walking up in Glencoe...Dodgy hip and the weather turned me back before I got to where I was headed...I found a wee overhang in some rocks with a natural rock seat at the back of it...Cleared most of the sheep muck out threw my bag in...Got the harmonica out...Had a few fags...And watched the traffic way down below for about an hour and a half...and was as happy as a sandboy till it eased off...
Jelboy.

I love the sound of rain knowing your cosy and dry inside the tent. Its the sound I love the most especially when its really loud. It always sounds heavier than it actually is. When you go outside its not normally as bad as you thought.
------------- A problem shared is a problem halved
as long as its dry during the day so i can do as i please. it can do whatever it wants at night. in go the earplugs and i sleep like a log no matter what the weather.
