Camping in the later months can be very enjoyable. Quiet campsites and wonderful Autumn walks to be had on a crisp morning. It's not the cold that is the problem. Take plenty of layers of clothes, pullover, fleece etc rather than a single heavy jacket. Put them on as required before you get cold. It is much easier to stay warm than to get warm. I think the main turn off is the rain. Wet camping in the colder months is not so enjoyable so try to pick a nice dry weekend and you'll love it.

As has been mentioned. A small fan heater can make all the difference if you want that extra bit of comfort though do please buy a reputable hookup lead. Not a cheepo firestarter from fleabay.

I had a lot of cold rain, last Easter, but it was at the end of March.  I wished I had the EHU.  

A good decent sleeping bag is needed.  Not the 2 season, as it would be difficult to stay warm, even with the duvet. 

If you do become cold, go for a walk,   soon  warm up.
