We have a vango samara 600 with extension which is 9m x 4m, plus our Coleman event shelter which is 3.65m x 3.65m so we need a huge pitch to get this on.
We are really struggling to find nice family sites that aren't basic so have ehu etc.
We feel your pain! One site I contacted for July said the tent could only be 5x4!!!
Pitch sizes have always, as far as I am aware, 6m x 6m. 3m x 7m is rather strange.
This has been discussed in the passed. Tents have become bigger and no longer fit on the traditional size. That is why people need to go to sites where pitches are unmarked or pay the extra.
