Oooh, Bikemental, where did you find the Icarus at that price?

Mine sustained some damage when lent to OH's son the other year and he has promised to get me a new one (OH, not the son - you'll never part him from his money).

We didn't go camping last year as the weather was so dire, but have been half-heartedly looking round for a bargain one for this year.

I quite fancy the extension, too, but what I'd really like is an open canopy.

Fran1000, Cotswoldoutdoor are doing them at that price and Decathlon at £189, I saw the extension on Amazon at £101 I think. This camping thing is taking over my life and I havent even used my tent yet. Been reading views on beds on this forum and seems the fishermans bed is the most comfortable and most bulky too.

The Icarus is a great choice, we have the 600 and canopy and love it. However, beware of the gas theory (a gas fills all available space) as we have found things that we never needed before have now become 'essential' because we have the space to put them in. This has meant that the canopy which was originally intended for longer stays now goes up every trip to accommodate all our 'stuff'
