RE: your husband sounds like a real wimp, are you sure hes reay for the great outdoors?
No, he's not really, I probably make him sound worse than he is, He just likes his home comforts. Personally I blame his parents, too clean and tidy and it's rubbed off on him, but we are getting there, 5 years ago I would never have got him even talking about a tent never mind sleeping in one.
I know exactly what you mean, didnt mean to offend you if i did, my oh is the exact same. actually he still is........ the only good point about his tidyness is he great at cleaning the bathroom and the windows never look dirty. i leane him alone and go shopping and instead of watching the football i come home to a shining home he he he
get him to try it out before you go........ and have a few bbq that will give him a feel for the outdoors, if you have a hook up you can bring all sorts of things camping and that will make him feel more comftable. ie tv iron etc
Hi Lisa the roof liner is supposed to make it cooler in the heat and warmer in the cold. We used to use our "toilet tent" for storage- my husband made a collapsible shelf thingy for it. It is a fantastic tent but I recommend you not to store it for any length of time in a garden shed!- and inspect it before you travel-our canvas got ruined for these reasons and we had to drive to the nearest French supermarket to buy another one. If you ever need spare poles etc let me know( and you are ever in Surrey!)
Thanks for that, what a nightmare for you, where you in the middle of your hols?
We were storing in shed but have now moved into the loft as we now have mice in there, thankfully we got there before they did, we still store the poles in there though, but I'm sure they will be fine.
I used to live in Carshalton, Surry, about 15 years ago, but do not visit as much as we should.
We have a porta-potti so we use the toilet area but we only put up 2 bedroom areas so we have lots of space, I can't wait to use it for more than a weekend this year, we only used it for a couple of weekends last year due to the good old English summer that we had.

Yes Lisa, we had just driven to the Vendee, unpacked at about 4pm , spent about half hour deciding where to put it and the gazebo when we discovered the state of the canvas- mice holes too I remember! However we have now treated ourselves to a new tent- haven't used it yet. Every year we had always unpacked it in the garden first for an inspection- this was the very first time we hadn't had time to do it! We survived though. Have you bought the sun canopy extension too? Its a bit small but useful.
No, no sun canopy extension, I didn't know there was one. I have been looking to see if there was some sort of awning to go with it. I will have a look and see if can find one online.

Could I possibly have a copy of your instructions for the Grange as I have just brought a second hand one and it has come without instructions. Many thanks. Dan
