It was warm during the day about 10 miles north of Dumfries. Sure I heard mention of 18 degrees.

I'm going to Ullswater. Predicted to be cold and wet but can't wait. First time camping with the family at this time of year but got EHU and heaters so should be fine.

Can't wait either way but hopefully not too wet when packing away.

We are off shortly.

Temp range to be 0-13C
Wet and times with clearer spells mainly cloud.

All set with the necessary requirements to overcome the temps and wet.

Only thing is that it looks like it could be damp on the day of departure so do we take our new tent, 5 man and risk the problem of wet pack up or take our 3 man and have less of an issue drying it due to room.

Ohhhh the problems of a camper. Enjoy all and particularly any families with young uns taking advantage of the hols.

Camping is always a case of planning for the worst and hoping for the best.
Either way camping is always fun..sometimes we just don't realise that until we get home

Well for the first time ever we have chickened out lol. I rang Trawsdir campsite today and changed our booking to the next bank holiday at Mayday.
They were very accommodating and understood completely as the forecast of heavy rain and 40 mph wind isn't too tent friendly with two children :/
Hope the forecast is wrong for you guys still going, fingers crossed for you ;)
